If you look closely, you can see a mama cow feeding her calf. So cute! I've walked over there with the kids a couple of times but the cows nervously back away - except for one mean looking cow who stands firmly in one spot and gives us the evil eye. Makes me very thankful for the fence between us.

Right Outside Your Back Door
I heard a funny noise the other day and my under-caffeinated brain couldn't quite place it. It's not a sound you usually hear when you live in the suburbs. My house is right on the edge of town and just across the street is a farmer's field. Anyway, the sound turned out to be a herd of cows mooing and grazing. They sounded rather perturbed about something. Thankfully I can only hear them and not smell them!
