The only people I know personally that read my blog are my sister and my mother. Hi guys! I'm thinking of setting up some sort of giveaway for my readers just to see who appears out of the woodwork. Anybody out there?

What have I been up to? Well I'm totally into making these glass soldered pendants and magnets. I just finished up a custom order for 48 of them! The magnets have been selling fairly well in my Etsy shop which I'm really excited about. I giggle while I make them because some of them I can relate to very well. ;) I have tons more ready to go but I just haven't had the time to finish them and list them.

Orders in my Artfire and Etsy shops have definitely picked up with Christmas being right around the corner. I'm scrambling to keep up! I had a bit of a computer issue recently which rendered my printer useless for a few days. My printer is my main tool for a lot of my jewelry items and without it I'm completely lost. An upgrade to Windows 7 fixed all the bugs and it looks like I might have to stay up late for a few evenings just to make up for lost time. A power nap after supper and strong coffee usually does the trick.

The flu recently swept through the house too which took a lot out of me. I think I worried more than I could admit. Seeing your kids all weak and feverish is a little stressful. I wasn't affected, but every single child was - including the ones I look after during the day. It turned out to be such a mild flu - slight fever, cough and loss of appetite. The kids were fine after a few days of laying low. Made for a few quiet days that's for sure. All I can say is that I'm SO thankful this wasn't a puking flu. There's nothing worse than toddlers projectile vomiting all over the place.

I've been trying not to watch the news and get all worked up about the H1N1 virus. It just seems all too ridiculous to me. People lining up for hours to get a shot for a flu that's even milder than the one that usually goes around. I went with my gut and decided not to vaccinate my kids. We're all fine. Nobody died. I think if people were dropping like flies and all hell was breaking loose, I'd reconsider. So far, I think it's all just media hype. Baaaaaa! (sheep noises)

I think that's all for now. Nothing else new to report really. I'm trying to figure out when on earth I'm going to get my Christmas shopping done. All I know for sure is that there is NO way in hell you'll catch me in a mall this year. I'm doing everything online - most of it on Etsy or Artfire. Handmade is where it's at baby. I'm hoping people will stop by my shop and pick up some goodies for their loved ones.

The family is gathering at my house this Christmas and I'm looking forward to cooking lot's of wonderful food and getting lot's of visiting in. It's been awhile since we've all been together in one spot. Bubbly wine & stretchy clothes will make things even better I'm sure. ;) I think I've earned the right to be drunk for at least a few days. Drunk, but still respectable is my goal.

One more day and then it's the weekend! I hope the weather is as nice as it's been this past week. I need to get out of the house and run through fields screaming or something. I've been cooped up in here for far too long.
