Sunday

We were all feeling a little bit better than yesterday so I took the kids for a little spin before supper. The fresh air was much needed. We tend to drive the same few roads over and over but the scenery always looks completely different each time we go. I noticed that the colours of autumn are slowly creeping in over all the trees. The farmer's fields are looking absolutely gorgeous.

I want to learn how to drive one of these!

Speaking of driving large machinery, I'm seriously considering the idea of going for my bus driver's license. They're looking to fill positions in this area and I feel like this would be the perfect thing for me. I can take my own kids to school and my little guy can ride the bus too. There would be no need for daycare and I would be working no more than 4 hours a day - most likely less. The first thing I need to do is pass a written exam which I'll be inquiring about on Tuesday. If I pass the written exam, then I'll get a bus to practice driving before going for my road test. It all seems very daunting but if I do it all in baby steps, I'm sure I'll be fine.

I've just gotten all the kids tucked into bed and I'm ready to do the same myself. I played hide and seek with them for a little while before bed in hopes of tiring them out a bit. That was really fun! We had lot's of laughs. I hid in my closet, lost my balance and fell butt first into a box. Thankfully the kids were there to rescue me ;)

The most important thing I've learned about raising children is that all they really want is to be noticed. They don't need fancy toys, brand name clothes and all that materialistic crap. PLAY with your kids - they love it! I kept getting little hugs and kisses and squeals of excitement during our game of hide and seek. It was really nice. Don't get me wrong - I'm all for letting them watch tv and play video games too. It's all about finding balance. I'll let you know if I ever find it. ;)

Know what I mean?
