Witch's Brew

Happy Halloween! The kids are bouncing off the walls with excitement about going trick or treating tonight. I can't image what they'll be like after consuming ridiculous amounts of candy later. :)

So far today, we've made paper skeletons, painted our fingernails black and cooked up some Witch's Brew. It's a quick and easy 'craft' you can do with your kids.

All you need is vinegar, food coloring, dish soap and baking soda. Most competent mothers should have all of this stuff in their kitchen already. Haha. ;) They should also have large amounts of alcohol hidden throughout their entire houses. Lord knows we need it.

Take a baking sheet (this prevents a huge mess), put a glass or jar in the middle of it and then fill it up halfway with vinegar.

Add a few drops of food coloring, a squeeze of dish soap and stir gently.

Take a heaping teaspoon of baking soda, stir it in and watch the foam spill out over the cup!

Okay, so it's not THAT exciting...but its still pretty cool - especially if you're 3. Just don't let anyone drink it- because believe me, they're going to want to.

Okay, now WHERE did I put my vodka? I can never find anything in this house...
