Nonstop Action!

I've determined that having a puppy is very much like having a new baby in the house. It's absolutely crazy - but in a good way of course. It's nonstop action around here - which I guess is really nothing new. It's just MORE action. Who would have thought that was even possible? Certainly not I.

Her name is Lulu ;)

The puppy's first bath. She seemed to think she was sitting in a giant bowl of water ;)
This past week has been filled with car rides, trips to the dentist, lot's of playing outside, puppy chasing, MANY strong lattes, spring cleaning, a tiny bit of crying due to slight feelings of being completely overwhelmed at times, laughing, stargazing, contentedness and once again - the realization that life is pretty awesome. Every moment of it has been blissfully amazing and leaves me grinning and feeling grateful.

I'm totally loving the Vignette photo app for my Samsung Galaxy phone. :)
I think the most important thing I've learned this past year is to simply STOP THINKING. I no longer allow any negative thoughts to gain momentum and wreak havoc on this calmess I've cultivated for myself. Doing that along with trying to be completely present at all times makes life a walk in the park no matter what's going on around me.

There are days, of course, where I'm not always able to maintain that level of calmness.  That's a sign that perhaps I need to take a breather - an extra moment or two for myself. That's where those long bubble baths come in handy, or blasting music so loud it drowns out all the chaos...and of course chocolate always makes everything better :)

I spotted these lovely deer in my yard early one morning.
Have I mentioned how awesome it is living out in  the country?  :)

A busy weekend lies ahead. The Easter Bunny is coming followed by a huge turkey dinner, visiting with great family and friends....good times.

Hey, I just realized it's Friday night! I'm totally going to stay up late, watch movies and eat ice cream right straight out of the carton. :)
