A long week...

This is turning out to be a really looong and pukey week. Chloe and Seamus are both throwing up again as of last night. I'm feeling like I was hit by a truck but I'm refusing to join the ranks of the pukers. I'm just sitting very still and breathing deeply. Catie is perfectly fine. So far :) I'm hoping that once school ends, the kids will stop bringing weird bugs home. In the meantime, I'm walking around disinfecting every surface the kids touch - which is pretty much everything.
Yesterday was lovely though. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the sky was blue.
Seamus and I sat outside in the morning after the girls left for school and visited.
He spotted this tiny little bee who wasn't looking so good. He was kind of slumped over on this leaf, his bee fur sticking up wildly all over the place. Seamus assured me the bee was just resting :)
And then we rescued a ladybug that had fallen into a bowl of water. I snapped a picture and then he flew away.
There's still lots of nest building action happening on the veranda. I think the birds are used to me now. They don't even fly away when I open the door and step outside anymore. They're probably just thinking 'how much coffee can this lady drink in a day?!'
After a long and busy day, I put the kids to bed and then wandered out into the backyard for some silence and fresh air. The kitty followed me around and attacked my ankles. The usual :)
Dark clouds rolled in and the sunset turned them bright pink.
I went to bed thinking about how nice it would be to get a good sleep. Instead I was up with Seamus at least 5 times during the night. Poor little guy. And then Chloe joined in this morning. *sigh*
Today is going to be a day of rest and recovery. Naps, gingerale and endless episodes of Spongebob for the kids. For me - coffee, fresh air and making some flowerpot arrangements on the veranda - while trying to avoid puking. *fumbling around for Gravol*
