Christmas Vacation

The kids left for their last day of school today. No more crazy early mornings for a couple of weeks. Yay! I'm looking forward to sleeping in, pajama days and being cozy with the kids and kitties.

The kids had their Christmas concert last night and it was really cute. They were all dressed up in pajamas, Santa hats and reindeer antlers :) My brother videotaped their performances. I watched a bit this morning and giggled.

The tree has been put up and decorated and all of the kitties have taken turns climbing around in it and batting fallen ornaments all over the house. Christmas shopping is done, Etsy orders have all been mailed  and now I think it's time to do some baking.
Whenever anybody has a bath around here, the kitties love to hang out, peek into the tub and bat at the bubbles. It's pretty cute :)
All of the kids LOVE having baths. I never have to worry about them smelling funny - which is a good thing. Although, sometimes they smell funny anyway...
My dad snapped this gorgeous deer picture a few days ago. They're everywhere out here.
It's been a cold and frosty winter so far. Lot's of snow and slippery roads. The combination of those things has pretty much kept me at home except for a couple of whirlwind shopping trips into the city.

A flock of winter birds.
Things have been really calm and peaceful around here lately thank goodness. I think I'll go bake some cookies now :)
