Simplicity

The morning started out with a flurry of yelling and fighting kids, flailing limbs and a spilled drink. Just pure chaos. I stood in the kitchen holding my hot mug of coffee, closed my eyes and drew in the deepest breath possible. Hot tears filled my eyes as I released it. I laughed to myself, shook my head and gulped down some more coffee. Things eventually calmed down, spills were cleaned and peace was restored. Just another day :)
"I just SO, SO love you!" Seamus exclaimed. He's the sweetest little 5 year old I know. He told me the other day that he wanted to marry me. I giggled and explained that he couldn't marry me, that he'd have to find his own girlfriend when he got older. MUCH older. I told him to wait until his mid-thirties so that he really knows himself and what he wants before getting married. I don't think he had any idea what I was talking about. Just as well I suppose :)
That's the advice I would have given my younger self. (Thank goodness for do-overs! ;)

I've met so many amazing women through various online communities. Amanda Fall is one of them. She is the editor and creator of the gorgeous online magazine Sprout. I'm so very excited and honoured to be a part of issue #14 (the Simplicity issue) - which was just published today! We had a mini interview and my jewelry and photography was showcased. Thanks so much Amanda! :)
Sink deep into the roots of your life's meaning: family, breath, movement, nature, kinship, beauty, kindness, faith, humor. This is what lasts. This is what brings hope. This is what matters.

Sprout makes a great gift for friends and family too! Purchase your copy or subscribe here.

This is what the rest of the day looks like for all of us. Just relaxing and napping in the sun :)
Enjoy your weekend!
